On January 23rd, 2017, my 29th year around the sun, I decided that it was time to chase my happiness. I thought about 10-year-old Tracey. The young Tracey who moved to the other side of the world without a guidebook, Google, or YouTube to show her the way. She was fearless and excited about America, this new land that she had only seen through movies or her classic red ViewMaster. She, who loved school projects because she would have an excuse to research countries, imagined what it would be like to taste their local cuisines, feel their pottery and try to speak their language. Therefore, these past 3 years I focused on bringing back my child-like curiosity. I traveled to destinations the young me was only able to dream about and all the interesting places in-between.
Come and follow me in my journey–as I navigate the exciting, sometimes frustrating, and often funny world of traveling on a budget. On this blog, I will share tips that have made traveling as affordable as possible, and provide travel stories and destination inspiration that goes beyond Pinterest.
Traveling is very personal. There is no right or wrong way to travel. So, wherever there’s sunshine, is a good enough place for me.
